Is the production of critical thought in Martinique exclusively male, even patriarchal? If so, is the approach proposed by a documentary made from mainland France about the forgotten women of Négritude relevant? Does highlighting women thinkers and idea conveyors necessarily imply a binary power dynamic? For its second session, the Terre de Femmes seminar series continues its mapping of female voices in the Caribbean-Americas region. Following the success of our focus on MT Lung-Fou, the first certified Antillean sculptress from the Fine Arts, this time we invite you to a focus on the Nardal sisters. Join us this Thursday, May 25th, at 6:30 PM at the Cultural Center of Bourg du Lamentin for the screening of the FranceTV documentary, in the presence of its author Léa Mormin-Chauvac, followed by a roundtable discussion on Women in Négritude moderated by Myriam Moïse with the participation of Valérie-Ann Edmond-Mariette and Dominique Aurélia. terrefemmes@gmail.com
